by Jackey - Kelly had the most fun socks and shoes I've ever seen (she had the shoes specially made). This was such a fun couple!!

DeAnna & I arrived at the church and found our friends at Faccia Bella, doing the make-up and hair for Kelly. That was a nice surprise. Pretty soon after that, it was time for the 1st sight between Philip & Kelly. We staged the scene then quietly captured this special moment then it was time for formal portraits.

The wedding went off without a hitch and was very elegant, especially the cello playing! The reception was on sight complete with a photo booth, beautiful cake, and catering by Elote! When it was all over, the guests lit sparklers to congratulate the newlyweds.

by Jackey - What an incredible wedding this was. I must preface by saying I'm a little biased because the beautiful bride Jenna Parnell is my husband's cousin. But we all share a love of autumn, orange and OSU. So you take all of that plus the most perfect weather we've had all year and mix it up with great family & friends and you have an incredible wedding!!

Jenna wore OSU Cowboy boots and an OSU garter belt, under her dress. You'll see a picture of Warren's groom's cake, which needs no introduction. They had a fall/pumpkin theme with every shape, size, color, and variety of pumpkin there is. Jenna and her grandmother made all the food which, was all fall inspired. Pumpkin dip, pumpkin bread, cookies shaped like leaves, etc.

I could ramble all day about this wedding but I'll get to the pictures! Congrats Jenna! Welcome to the family Warren!

by Jackey - We had the best time getting to know Jillian & Jabar. Sheer joy to work with! Sarah described them as a walking definition of 1 Corinthians 13 and I couldn't agree more!

Their wedding was at Rhema and the reception was at the newly renovated Hyatt Hotel ballroom, which is fast becoming one of my top 3 favorite places to photograph receptions!

The primary color was this pool blue shade, (that I will definitely copy if I ever have another wedding)! That, along with the fall foliage, was magnificent, to say the least!

I feel honored to have met Jillian & Jabar and am so happy they chose us to capture their wedding day!!

It was so nice, working with these two (who met at TU), and seeing how much they are adored by each other and their families. Amber was one of those brides (who I love), who's willing to try just about any pose, even if unsure it'll be silly, so-so, or utterly amazing. And with her bridesmaids making suggestions, it was SO much fun!

Amber & Brandon invited us to sit down and have dinner with the guests, which was so kind (thank you guys)!! And afterwards, they all danced the night away (and there were definitely some talented dancers on the guest list). Three cheers for Amber & Brandon!! :-)

by Jackey - To describe this wedding, I'd call it: 'fun & formal'!! Kimberly and I met John & Alicia downtown at the Mayo Hotel to capture some "getting ready shots", their 1st sight and some gorgeous formals of them in the parlor room. Then we met them at the church for the wedding and then we went to the fun Stokely Event Center for the reception. A lot of locations, which make for a lot of photo ops!

John & Alicia are beautiful, kind, and were a joy to work with. Their guests had a blast playing arcade games, skee ball, and dancing, at the reception. It was an amazing evening and we congratulate John & Alicia!!

by DeAnna - If you've never seen the St. Therese Catholic Church in Collinsville, OK you're missing out! It is gorgeous inside and out and a stunning backdrop for a wedding (a visual Candyland for us photographers). This is where Daina & Bobby chose to tie the knot. It was a close family affair and very picturesque! The reception was at the Mayo Parlor, which is another 'must see' (and might I add, they arrived there in a white Rolls Royce)!

These two had a ball dancing the night away; it was exciting to watch (because they're so good at it)! This was definitely a wonderful wedding for a wonderful couple. So sweet and totally in love. Daina & Bobby - we wish you all the best!

Friends are great resources when you need help with guest lists and throwing bachelorette parties, but wedding pictures will be handed down to your children and grandchildren. They will be treasured memories that you, your family, and friends will adorn on their walls and desktops.

For this once in a lifetime day, with all the important people in your life, assembled under the same roof, don't trust your wedding pictures to an amateur, just to save a buck or two. It is an investment and well worth it!

Jason & I had the best time with this great couple!

We started out with the wedding party and Josh & Melanie’s First Sight, with Melanie’s beautiful horses around. Talk about a great backdrop!

Afterwards, we headed to the new Glenpool Conference Center for the wedding and reception. They had the ceremony outside on the steps. Melanie looked like a princess, being escorted by her father. We took some family formal portraits after the I Do’s and then headed inside for the reception.

The decor was awesome! Crowns, feathers, fall colors, etc., Melanie has excellent taste!

What an exciting wedding this was! We started downtown at the church. John & Kristy wanted to see each other before the ceremony and words can't express John's expression the first time he saw Kristy. It was a beautiful moment.

We got some awesome shots in front of the church, with downtown Tulsa in the background, along with 2 Freightliner semi's the bride and groom eventually rode to the reception in!

The wedding and reception were both beautiful, adorned with a peacock theme! The OU game was playing so the guests could watch the game in between eating, mingling and celebrating with John and Kristy. And I was so excited to see a couple of familiar faces, Shellye & Steve Jaggers, who's wedding we shot in April!!!

It was a beautiful sunny day, with blue skies and white fluffy clouds, when Angie & Chris said "I DO". The location was the gorgeous Harwelden Mansion. Guests sat on white chairs, each with a hand-held fan and the look on Chris's face when he saw Angie walking with her Father was so very sweet.

We took the family and wedding party to the back, under some shade trees and did formal portraits and the rest of the afternoon the guests had lunch, cake, visited and watched Angie & Chris dance, while blowing bubbles at them. Just darling!!!

We love going out to Post Oak Lodge. Its just west and slightly north of downtown. Up a winding road and at the top is this beautiful rustic yet elegant lodge complete with a pond and a view. Jackey and I were privileged to shoot Mark & Nikki's wedding there. And it was so nice to see some familiar faces; DJ Richard with Infinity Music and our good friend Laura with Ms. Laura's Cakes!

While Jackey was taking pictures of Nikki getting ready, I took Mark and his family outside for some portraits. Suddenly, a rainbow appeared as I was shooting Mark's picture. That was pretty amazing!!

It was such a sweet ceremony in the Evergreen room, with their flowergirl and ringbearer sitting at their feet. After the ceremony we went outside and got some awesome pictures by the pond, just before we ran out of sunlight! Whew! Then back inside for the spectacular reception. It was a beautiful night and we thank Mark and Nikki for being so wonderful to work with!!

Betsy's Bridal Session

Betsy, her Mom and I met a couple months ago for Betsy's bridal portraits (I waited to post these until after her wedding; which was last night).

I used a mix of natural and artificial light sources and different settings, so the look and feel of each image would be slightly different from the next.

Betsy was an absolute doll and so much fun to work with it didn't feel like 'work' ! And you'll see by the pictures, how gorgeous she is. I have so many favorites I can't count them all! Thanks Betsy, it was a blast!!

This is my favorite time of year for weddings because nearly every wedding is outdoors. One of my fav venues is Harwelden Mansion and that's exactly where Cherish & Gabe chose to tie the knot.

Luke and I were blown away by how genuine, patient, and gentle this couple was with each other. True love for sure. And ironically its our 12 year wedding anniversary. Who knew Luke and I would be photographing a wedding 12 years to the day after our wedding. Life is an interesting journey. What a ball Blaine and I had photographing Hannah & Mike's wedding gala! The fun began at the newly remodeled Hyatt Hotel in downtown Tulsa, where the wedding party got ready. We staged a "1st sight", with Hannah coming down the escalator and Mike waiting patiently below. Their eyes sparked when they saw each other!

From there, we did formal portraits with the family and wedding party then off we all went in a hot pink party bus (to the church)!

The ceremony was breathtaking and after a grand exit thru a flurry of bubbles, we all loaded back on the party bus and headed to the IDL Ballroom for the reception.

Crystals dripping from the ceiling, beautiful up-lighting, Hannah's hot pink accents ... wow! It was eye candy. Just spectacular. Thanks Hannah & Mike for choosing us and allowing us to record this magical evening for you!! Congratulations!

The Golf Club looked AMAZING, with Alex's vision all over it. Gorgeous purples and silvers, a candy buffet, a 3-D groom's cake, the dresses, the tuxes, the flowers, the string quartet ... well, you get the idea.
This group was some of the nicest people on planet earth; and the anticipation and excitement was felt throughout the evening. Blaine & I started out separately; with him photographing the guys outside and me photographing the girls inside the bridal suite. I don't know how Jeremy was able to stand not seeing Alex until she walked down the aisle. But I'm sure in his mind, it was well worth it. She looked like a princess, locked arms with her wonderful Dad.

Theresa's wedding was last night! So now that everyone (including her new husband James), has seen her in her dress, I can show a sneak peek from her bridal session.

It was a hot afternoon in July, something like 110 degrees, so we HAD to find an indoor location. Luckily the Renaissance Hotel came to our rescue.

Blaine & I captured these images, incorporating the beautiful architecture of the hotel, in the pictures. But, that paled in comparison to Theresa's beauty. She is gorgeous inside and out! You'll see ... this girl rocked her dress!!!!

Jason and I got to go to Woodward, OK to shoot Luke & Erika's wedding! It took us almost 4 hours to get there but it was fun passing through Little Sahara and the Glossy Mountains; just a few awesome places that Western Oklahoma has to offer!

I couldn't get over Erika's dress. It was so pretty; and being a guy, I'm not supposed to talk about pretty dresses but you'll see for yourself in the pictures!

Luke & Erika were awesome to work with and they had a great wedding! My favorite part is a tie between the 1959 Classic Ford convertible they rode to their reception in, or the story told of how Luke sang along with the radio during a trip with Erika's family! Very cool!!! Congratulations to this awesome couple!!

Gorgeous Hannah got married Saturday night so now I can show some of her bridal portraits. I met Hannah, her Mom and her maid of honor at Tulsa Garden Center last month and we had a great time photographing inside and outside of the mansion. Hannah's Betsy Johnson shoes were to die for. Hot pink on the outside, cheetah print on the inside... need I say more?!!!

Hannah's wedding was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Can't wait to get her pictures edited and posted. Congrats Hannah!!!!!

What a joy for Sarah & I, to photograph Christian's wedding! This lovely little bride, used to work with us here at the office. I've heard about Thomas for a couple of years now and finally meeting him, well I can see why Christian is so drawn to him!

The theme was Country French and let me tell you, the reception at Forest Ridge, looked like it had been ripped from the pages of a bridal magazine. So many amazing details from the tables to the vintage keys with each guests name attached. Flavored popcorn, a candy bar, monogrammed items... even the restroom had little Country French touches. Absolutely beautiful!!!!!

DJ Gregg with Infinity Music not only played awesome music but was the emcee of the "kissing game" and the "shoe game", that the bride and groom played. So much fun!

Congratulations Christian & Thomas; we are all so very happy for you!!!!

Luke and I were sooooo lucky to photograph this wedding, at the Keystone Community Center (by Lake Keystone)! We've never done a wedding like this one and we had such a blast!
The theme was "Steampunk", which is: Victorian science fiction; the 'steam' refers to the steam-powered technology of the Industrial Revolution.
So unique and let's just say that Katie & Darren pulled it off beautifully! It was such a wonderful afternoon!

First of all, I love Harwelden! It's definitely one of my favorite Tulsa venues for outdoor weddings. So, Luke and I are very glad Andy & Anna chose Harwelden and we're also glad that they chose Storybook - great combination!

Your dress hanging up before you slip it on, your groom and his groomsmen hanging out, playing poker, or just enjoying each other's company; details such as your shoes, makeup, and candids in the bridal suite... All of these moments, help to tell your wedding story!

To capture this special part of your day, I recommend we arrive an hour and 1/2 before the ceremony. Within this time frame, we also photograph you, your bridesmaids, and your immediate family. At the same time, but at a different location, we take photographs with your groom and his loved ones. Our 2 photographer coverage, allows us to do this with ease.

I recommend we arrive 2 hours before the ceremony if you and your groom prefer seeing each other before the ceremony for ALL formal pictures. This allows time for us to photograph your getting ready pictures, a special '1st Sight' of each other, and then all of your fun and formal pictures with wedding party and loved ones.

To see each other before the ceremony or not to see each other?? hmm...that is the question...!
True, it makes the formal picture taking process so much easier. And, being able to leave directly from your ceremony and head to your reception, is awesome. But will you always long for that moment, when you walk down the aisle and see each other for the 1st time?

If you're willing to forego tradition but you're not 100% on-board with the idea, we have a solution.

We set up what we call "The 1st sight". We create a situation where you meet your groom for the 1st time with only you, him and us. Just ignore us ... then let the magic happen. We capture that special moment, give you a few minutes of alone time, then we begin formal pictures.

What you have is the best of both worlds.

Of course, the choice is completely yours!

Blaine & I traveled to Comanche, OK (which is just a few miles north of the Okla/Texas Border), to photograph Madison & Reese's wedding. It was so wonderful to see them again. We had gone to OSU to shoot their engagement pictures back in December.

They had an orange and black theme, which makes their pictures pop; as you will see. And they chose to see each other before the ceremony, which really made their formal picture taking a smooth process!

Claremore was the destination Blaine & I went, for Brooke & Drew's wedding! It was a hot June afternoon but that green grass and blue sky sure did make for some pretty pictures. And when Brooke arrived in a horse-drawn carriage, Wow; she looked like a princess!
Brooke's Dad officiated, which made it so very special. And as evening fell, the guests enjoyed visiting, mingling, eats and cake! A grand exit thru sparklers and off they went to live their happily ever after. Best wishes to Brooke & Drew!

Well, its official... my niece Natalie is a married woman. From the 1st time she introduced me to Jeremy, I knew he was someone special. Cupcakes & note trees & drinks.. oh my!

The past few weeks, we've seen quite a trend emerging.. cupcakes (instead of a wedding cake), note trees (instead of a guest book), and signature cocktails instead of the wine. We have seen it so consistently wedding after wedding, I just had to mention it.
Such unique ideas... so much fun to capture for you!!!

Here you'll see 2 examples of cupcake 'cakes'. The colors and flavors match the wedding colors. The cake topper is what the bride & groom cuts during the reception and saves for the 1 year anniversary!

The note trees are little greetings that each guest writes, instead of signing their names in a guest book. Then they tie the note to the tree. Your guests get to read and enjoy the well wishes, during your event!

Signature drinks... pick your favorite, put your name on it and let your guests enjoy it along with you! Kristin chose a Mimosa for her brunch-time wedding. Another bride chose a hot-pink/lime green concoction for her eclectic themed reception.

Steve & Shellye had a fantastic wedding & reception! They chose to see each other before the ceremony, which made formal picture taking a breeze and they had an amazing ceremony following that.
