A former bride's Family Portraits

by Blaine

A few years ago we photographed Mendi & Griffin's wedding. Now they have a beautiful baby boy, Lincoln. So when Mendi asked if we'd take family pictures for them downtown, we were so very happy to do it for them!
I had a nice time photographing the 3 of them this morning and it was so great to see them again!

Tracie and PJ become One!!

by Sarah

Wedding & Reception venue: Carbondale Assembly of God
Photography: Storybook Wedding Photography
Videography: Pen Weddings
Cake:Ann's Bakery
DJ/Emcee: Nick Ridener
Flowers: Cathy's Flowers (Sand Springs)

I met Tracie and PJ the day after I had all my wisdom teeth pulled out! I was pumped so full of pain killers and milk shakes that I can barely remember that day. But fast forward to their wedding day (which luckily for me, was pain-free), and let me tell you it was beautiful! They chose to see each other before the ceremony (which I'm a huge fan of), which allowed us additional time for great photography. Tracie's brother officiated and PJ's father did the communion. With both families participation in this ceremony, I know this couple will have a blessed future with the support of all their loved ones!

Okmulgee - Trey & Marcy

by Blaine

Wedding venue: St. Anthony's Catholic Church
Reception venue: Okmulgee Golf Club
Photography: Storybook Wedding Photography
Cakes & Catering: Ms Laura's Cakes
DJ: DJ Connection
Flowers: Blossom Shoppe

Kansas last week Okmulgee this week. We arrived at historic St. Anthony's Catholic Church to meet up with Marcy. While shooting in the bridal suite Marcy's dog Ellie Mae arrived for pictures, she had a pearl necklace! How cool was that.

Marcy was a beautiful bride, there is this look a bride has on her wedding day that is hard to explain, like their eyes glisten. Marcy had that look! Trey and his groomsmen were very nice, they were brave enough to go out for a couple of shots in the 100 degree heat. The last time that we shot at St. Anthony's in Okmulgee it was ironically 100 degrees.

There was a small orchestra that enriched the ceremony and the grandfather spoke which was a very heartfelt moment!

At the reception the single guys were hilarious during the garter toss, they stood there for a few seconds after Trey had thrown the garter, looking at it after it landed on the floor, debating who should pick it up. Finally we had one brave soul do the duty!

Sharp Chapel for Erin & Brice's big night!

by Jackey
Wedding venue: Sharp Chapel (TU Campus)
Reception venue: Escargot's
Photography: Storybook Wedding Photography
Cakes: Groom's Mom
Catering: Escargot's
Flowers: Family friend

So Jason & I spent the evening on the TU Campus, photographing the wedding of Erin & Brice. They chose a gorgeous color palette of pale pink and sage green. Erin even had pink on her wedding gown that she found at Alyssa's Bridal. Everything looked so pretty and Erin's Mom designed the sign-in pages for the guests, to later be used in a scrapbook. So creative!
The reception was downtown Tulsa at Escargot's. They had an OU ice sculpture, buffet, dancing and more but the show stopper was the wedding cake, made by Brice's Mom. You'd have to see it to believe it. This is a creative family, for sure!!!

OKC for Jeff & Susan's nuptual

by Kimberly

Wedding & Reception venue: Village United Methodist Church
Photography: Storybook Wedding Photography
Cake: Ruth's Sweete Justice
Flowers: Tony Foss Flowers

I traveled to OKC this afternoon with Judy to photograph Jeff & Susan's big day! They had a bronzed sculpture of both their hands which was on the alter during their ceremony (very unique and beautiful).
The bride chose colors of blue throughout the reception including the wedding cake! The groom's cake was designed in both of Jeff's favorite football teams: OSU (go Pokes!) and Dallas Cowboy's colors. His college friend flew in from Illinois to be his Best Man.
Susan looked so gorgeous in her off-white wedding gown. I think Jeff about fell over when he saw her gliding up the aisle!!!
The guests blew bubbles for this lovely couple as they had their Grand Exit.
Best Wishes to the Newlyweds!!

K A N S A S !!

by Jackey

Wedding venue: First Baptist Church of Edna
Reception venue: Edna Mattress Factory
Photography: Storybook Wedding Photography
Wedding Cake: Amanda Bellis
Catering: Sirloin Stockade: Coffeyville, KS

If you want to meet some of the nicest people on the planet, look no further than Edna, KS. Blaine and I had the honor of photographing Jill & Matt's wedding today in this adorable town about 14 miles east of Coffeyville. Blaine took full advantage of the town's character by photographing the guys downtown, fun shots by the Edna water tower and even found a soybean field, where the guys got to do Blaine's signature "CD Cover" shot. lol
The bride looked absolutely gorgeous in her birdcage veil and breathtaking wedding gown. Everything went flawless as the couple said "I DO". They traveled from the church to the reception in a vintage red Ford truck and had this amazing reception in the Edna Mattress Factory. The amazing wedding cake was created by the bride's soon-to be cousin, Amanda (who's getting married next year to the bride's cousin!) email: divinitycakes@yahoo.com. If you're looking for a spectacular cake in Kansas, Amanda is who you need to contact! I could go on and on but there's not enough words to describe how wonderful everything was. To Jill, Matt and your families: Thank you for your kindess and hospitality! You were an absolute joy to work with!!" Congrats!
